Dive into Comic Creation
A World of Creativity
Join us for an exciting journey into the universe of comic creation for kids. Our workshops aim to inspire imagination and artistic expression.

Anton Pulvirenti at Kids Comics Workshops offers unique workshops guiding children in comic creation. With a focus on artistic development and narrative skills, he empowers kids to express themselves. We bring extensive knowledge to help young creators build their stories and craft engaging comics. We strive to nurture creativity and confidence, making comic-making an enjoyable adventure for every child.

Workshops
We kick off with quick, fun drawing games to boost creativity and confidence. We create characters through drawing. We build a story and help kids brainstorm short, simple stories with clear beginnings, challenges, and fun endings.
Kids learn how comics work: panel layout, speech bubbles, action lines, and storytelling flow. Kids create a comic of their own, step by step—with encouragement all the way! Kids take home their original comics pages.

Our Creative Journey
About the workshop
Anton Pulvirenti is an accomplished Australian visual artist with more than two decades of experience in drawing, painting, mural and large‑scale 3D chalk art. He holds a Post‑Graduate Degree in Visual Arts and has exhibited and led creative projects across Australia, South Korea, Italy, the US, Qatar and New Zealand.
Anton’s background spans observational drawing, perspective and figure work (studying with David Paulson and at the Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney). He transitioned into ambitious public art and narrative illustration — including live visual scribing, murals and immersive graphic novel projects.
His comics‑related work includes two major graphic novel initiatives: “Five Finger Discount,” which chronicles growing up in inner‑city Brisbane in the 1980s, and “Goomiland,” a semi‑fictional universe exploring migration, memory and identity through hybrid creatures. These narrative works demonstrate his deep understanding of sequential storytelling, character development and visual structure in the comic medium.
